About Me

Sarah Grey is a Philadelphia-based writer and editor. After more than a decade of experience in the corporate and academic worlds and as a freelancer, she opened Grey Editing in order to devote herself full-time to her clients.

• 2002: BA, Philosophy and Cultural Studies, Chatham College, Pittsburgh, PA. Magna cum Laude.

Qualifications and Skills

●      More than a decade of experience in one-on-one writing coaching, editing, proofreading, development and project management

●      Experience managing, editing and maintaining large-scale team research and writing projects

●      Excellent at building relationships with and between authors, editors, graphic designers and translators

●      Skilled in working with people of wide-ranging cultural, national, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds in sensitive, confidential matters

●      Extensive experience with ESL coaching and with English texts written by non-native speakers

●      Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel,  PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, QuickBooks, Adobe InDesign CS5, Quark, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, and Trados (including Translator’s Workbench, TagEditor, MultiTerm and WinAlign)

●      Research experience with Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and JSTOR

●      Experience handling multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment

●      Broad knowledge of linguistic issues as they relate to translation and translated texts
